Our current research interests include technologies for aging, machine learning, artificial intelligence, advanced user interface design, innovative application development, healthcare ergonomics, social computing, and collaborative methods. IML has two spin-off companies called Vocalage Inc and Centivizer Inc. Vocalage was founded in 2003 to commercialize cutting edge university research and to carry out consulting in the areas of data mining and statistical analysis, usability engineering, and applied research. Centivizer was founded in 2016 to create innovative technologies to combat the functional decline in aging populations. To learn more, please visit us at www.centivizer.com.
The Interactive Media Lab prides itself on its varied research program that spans the healthcare, transportation, social media, and e-commerce domains. Examples of current topics under investigation by lab members and collaborators include:
Aging technologies
Data science
Application of virtual reality in mental health therapy
Serious games for cognitive assessment
